Riccardo Garbagnati graduated in Business Economics from the Università Cattolica di Milano in 1986 (Thesis in Tax Law, supervisor Prof Enrico De Mita) and he started his career as a Chartered Accountant in 1988, gaining experience in national and international tax advisory.

In particular, he is an expert in financial statements according to national and international accounting standards. He provides specific advice on the law for several sectors (banking, insurance, finance, trusts). He is an expert in company reorganisations and restructuring under civil and tax law (mergers, spin-offs, transfers, sales and leasing of businesses). He is also an expert in company valuation and an independent auditor.

He has acquired significant experience regarding Consob and Savings Law, and sits on the Boards of Statutory Auditors of listed companies.

He is a standing statutory auditor and Chair of the Board of Statutory Auditors in several companies.

He is member of supervisory boards (Organismo di Vigilanza) under Legislative Decree 231/2001.

An author, he also participates as speaker and expert at conferences and study days on tax issues.
